Leadership Advisory Services, Executive Search Researcher

Overview

The Leadership Advisory Services (LAS) Researcher uses deep domain knowledge to execute a diverse range of leadership and talent consulting projects. The role partners with LAS team members and client service lines across industries to sell and execute leadership advisory work. The Researcher develops complex business development presentations and may lead project work streams or contribute as a member of a larger project team. Depending on project requirements, the Researcher may interact with clients autonomously or as part of a team, and may serve as an individual contributor or assume a team leadership role. The position involves no formal direct reports.

We provide a comprehensive onboarding and training program for every new hire, including formal mentors within the Leadership Advisory team and the local office. The Expert should expect to spend 10-30% of time traveling to internal or client sites; travel schedules are highly variable but known in advance.

What You'll Do
  • Drives the implementation of solutions together with consultants, in some cases serving as the point person for the client.
  • Serves as a thought partner to the team on all aspects of the project by identifying and developing a high-quality, rigorous approach. Supplements expertise by collaborating with other LAS team members with specific expertise.
  • Supports execution in terms of project management, creation of assessment framework, and interpretation of psychometric results (once accredited in the interpretation).
  • Leads client interactions throughout the project (kick-off discussions, interviews, 360 references, feedback conversations, and presentation of overall results). Partners with more senior consultants as needed for more complex mandates.
  • Participates in pitch meetings and drives elements of the agenda based on areas of expertise.
  • Leverages strategic insights to understand client needs and identify new business opportunities.
  • Advises teams on pricing strategies to maximize profitability and quality.
  • Once trained, leads calibration sessions, creates summary analyses, conducts references, and delivers psychometric feedback.
  • Continuously deepens expertise on leadership trends through internal and external research and networking to compete effectively.
  • Monitors market movements, company activity, and broader industry trends to identify potential business development opportunities and rally the team around specific actions.
  • Conducts internal research for marketing materials that may be used for a white paper or article, with guidance from consultants and key stakeholders.
  • Partners with local and global leadership on key practice knowledge initiatives and knowledge sharing.
  • Creates awareness of Egon Zehnder capabilities and expertise in the external community through personal or industry networks.
