Position Summary:

We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Leader to Lead the Financial Systems and Accounting department. The role oversees the integrity, functionality, and continuous improvement of our financial systems and accounting processes. The role is critical in ensuring accurate financial reporting, system efficiency, and compliance with regulatory standards. The ideal candidate will possess strong technical expertise, leadership skills, and a strategic mindset.

The role includes, but is not limited to:

  • Lead the design, implementation, and maintenance of financial systems to support efficient accounting operations.
  • Focus on the advancement of technology in ERP systems, finding ways to execute accounting processes more efficiently, deliver high-quality, timely information to business decision-makers, and otherwise incorporate technology solutions into business processes.
  • Lead the execution of the annual operating budget with a focus on operating expenses (workforce, operational costs, capital).
  • Collaborate with the CFO to execute the annual insurance renewal process.
  • Oversee the monthly financial close process for 10+ legal entities within the RWDI group of companies.
  • Compile month end financial statements for management, focusing on income statement accounts, providing variance analysis that compares actual performance to budget.
  • Oversee day-to-day accounting functions, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and timeliness of financial data.
  • Collaborate with IT and finance teams to enhance system capabilities and integrations.
  • Ensure compliance with accounting standards, internal controls, and regulatory requirements.
  • Manage ERP system upgrades, testing, security configuration, and troubleshooting for financial applications.
  • Develop and maintain documentation related to financial systems and processes.
  • Lead, mentor, and develop a team of accounting and systems professionals. Foremost, responsible for leading a team of Accounts Payable professionals and Accounting Analysts.
  • Provide strategic insights and data analysis to support decision-making.
  • Stay current with emerging financial technology trends and best practices.
We are accepting applications from candidates with the following qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Information Systems, or related field; CPA designation preferred.
  • 8+ years of experience in accounting, financial systems, or a related area, with at least 3 years in a leadership role.
  • Strong knowledge of accounting and regulatory standards
  • Deep experience with full cycle accounting, including the execution of month-end accounting and the preparation of financial statements
  • Hands-on experience with financial ERP systems (Microsoft D365 F&O experience preferred).
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency in data analysis, reporting tools, and system implementation.
  • Project management skills and ability to manage multiple priorities.
