Position Overview:

RWDI is seeking applicants for the position of Leader of our Environmental Noise & Vibration team in the Americas Business Unit.

As leader of a dynamic and growing technical practice of strategic importance to RWDI, you will be at the center of North American growth strategy and operations.You will collaborate with our Project Delivery Managers responsible for top-line revenue growth in our eight Canada/US sales regions.You will facilitate day-to-day operations on active and proposed projects with Project Managers in each of those sales regions.You may be involved in technical integration of Canada/US Mergers & Acquisitions.This position requires a strategic thinker with a proven track record of successful operational management with a distributed team.

The Leader will work collaboratively with the Americas Acoustics Leader and global Practice Area Leader for Noise, Acoustics, & Vibration to facilitate the success of the business and development of the team.

The Leader will collaborate internationally with Leaders in our Asia Pacific and Europe/UK Business Units.

Responsibilities:

  1. Operations: Responsible for the effective operation of the team and equipment to execute on projects.
  2. Growth: Responsible for growth of team across multiple Canada/US offices.
    May be involved with technical integration of Mergers & Acquisitions.
  3. Performance Management: Responsible for personal and technical development of team members.Facilitate to enable staff to achieve career objectives.
  4. Service Line Oversight:Accountable for service line performance including profitability, project performance, on-time and quality delivery, and ensuring client expectations are met or exceeded.
  5. Business Development: Responsible for providing business development and proposal support for new business pursuits.
  6. Quality Assurance: Ensuring that Quality Assurances are completed, recorded, and meet company standards and project scope.
  7. Innovation: Track industry developments and innovations to ensure that RWDI continuously delivers relevant services and new and innovative deliverables.
  8. Planning: Responsible for annual budgeting and needs assessments.
  9. Regulatory Oversight:Responsible to ensure the team has appropriate regulatory designations (eg: P.Eng., PE, INCE board certified).

  • Proven experience in team management within the engineering consulting sector.
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Architecture, or a related field.
  • Strong understanding of engineering principles and the ability to build and maintain client relationships.
  • Ability to communicate technical concepts to clients effectively.
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills.
  • Results-oriented with a demonstrated ability to meet and exceed targets.
  • Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
  • Willingness to travel as needed.

Compensation:
