Fortis Mining, Engineering, & Manufacturing in Saskatchewan is seeking a Welder Lead Hand. You will delegate tasks, interpret blueprints and welding process specs, and safely operate manual or semi-automatic welding equipment to meet production goals.

Successful candidates will hold a Grade 12 or equivalent and a valid CWB welding certification in GMAW and SMAW, with experience in heavy manufacturing. You will join a team committed to safety, quality, and continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• Minimum Grade 12 or equivalent.
• Valid CWB welding certification in GMAW and SMAW, all positions.
• Minimum 1 year experience welding in a heavy manufacturing environment.
• Welding and fabrication skills and knowledge.
• Strong leadership, time management, and communication abilities.

Responsabilités

• Fabrication and welding tasks per blueprints or welding specs.
• Operate welding equipment to fuse metal using GTAW, GMAW, FCAW, SMAW.
• Operate flame-cutting equipment and metal shaping machines.
• Conduct repairs, modifications, and retrofits.
• Maintain safety, policies, and regulatory compliance.
• Travel to jobsite for onsite welding and field fits as required.
• Lead and supervise team daily; align tasks with production schedules.
