Overview of the Lead, Visual Role

You will support the management team daily by performing opening and closing routines, supervising store operations to meet financial goals, and ensuring associates deliver World-Class service to our guests. You will handle operational functions within your area of accountability, primarily Sales, to ensure store standards and expectations are met.

  1. Perform operational functions such as opening and closing the store, managing register and back-office procedures.
  2. Ensure the store maintains visual standards, replenishment, cleanliness, safety, and back-of-house standards during manager-on-duty shifts.
  3. Serve as a Selling Captain, modeling sales generation and customer service, prioritizing the customer experience.
  4. Utilize selling tools and training resources to educate the team, improve sales skills, and meet business objectives.
  5. Provide coaching and training in selling, product knowledge, clienteling, and in-home services.
  6. Maintain a respectful and fair environment for all associates, aligned with our People First Philosophy.
  7. Demonstrate effective communication, organization, and leadership skills.
  8. Motivate and influence others through personal actions and examples.
  9. Be physically active, capable of standing, walking, bending, climbing, reaching, and lifting for extended periods.
  10. Require 1-3 years of retail sales experience, with preferred shift supervision experience.
  11. Preferred experience in home-related design, visual merchandising, or stockroom responsibilities, especially in specialty retail.

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to be mobile on the sales floor for extended periods.
  • Ability to lift and move medium to large items up to 75 lbs. using proper equipment and safety techniques.
  • Full-time associates should have open availability to meet business needs.
  • Part-time associates must be available for a minimum of 15 hours weekly, including weekends and holiday seasons.
