Overview of the Lead, Visual Role

You will support the management team by performing opening and closing routines, supervising store operations to meet financial goals, and ensuring associates deliver World-Class service to our guests. You will handle operational functions within your area of accountability, primarily sales, to ensure store expectations are met.

Responsibilities
  • Perform operational functions: opening and closing the store, register operations, and back-office procedures.
  • Maintain visual standards, replenishment, cleanliness, safety, and back-of-house standards during manager-on-duty shifts.
  • Serve as a Selling Captain, modeling sales and customer service excellence to inspire associates.
  • Use Selling Essentials and training resources to educate the team on products, improve sales skills, and achieve business goals.
  • Provide training and coaching in selling, product knowledge, clienteling, and in-home services.
  • Foster a fair, respectful environment aligned with our People First Philosophy.
Criteria
  • Strong communication, organization, and leadership skills.
  • Proven ability to motivate and influence through personal actions and example.
  • Physical ability to stand, walk, bend, climb, reach, and lift for extended periods.
  • 1-3 years retail sales experience; shift supervision experience preferred.
  • 1-2 years in home-related design, visual merchandising, or stock responsibilities preferred.
Physical Requirements
  • Mobility on the sales floor for extended periods.
  • Ability to lift and move medium to large items up to 75 lbs., using proper equipment and safety techniques.
  • Full-time associates should have open availability; part-time associates must work at least 15 hours weekly, including weekends and holidays.
