Job summary

Stripe is seeking an experienced UX Research Manager to lead and mentor a growing team of researchers focused on core Payments and Risk products. You’ll drive insights that shape product experiences and partner with design leadership to embed user research across initiatives.

You will guide researchers through AI-driven transformations, scale programs, and collaborate with product managers, engineers, and operations to ensure research informs strategic decisions.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of relevant user research experience in digital products.
• 3+ years of people-management and leadership experience.
• Experience coaching and developing a team of researchers and recruiting.
• Ability to align research with product and design strategy and business goals.

Responsibilities

• Lead a team of researchers conducting mixed-methods studies across Payments and Risk products.
• Guide AI transformation in internal research processes and outputs.
• Share actionable insights to inform product decisions and strategy.
• Grow the research group to meet Stripe’s evolving needs and develop individual contributors.
• Partner with Design and leadership to embed user research as a strategic capability.
• Define long-term strategy and short-term tactics grounded in user needs.
• Prioritize research across multiple workstreams and deliver actionable insights.
• Build programs and platforms to educate and scale research across teams.
• Spearhead vendor partnerships to support the team’s research.
