Meyer Transit Canada, Inc. in North Bay, ON is seeking an experienced Manager and Truck Driver to oversee cross-dock operations and lead a small driver team.

You will drive 24-28 ft box trucks on routes, ensure on-time deliveries, and supervise staff while maintaining safety standards. The role combines driving with supervisory duties, offering a full-time schedule, a modern fleet, and opportunities for advancement.

Qualifications

• 1–3 years experience driving box trucks or similar vehicles.
• 2+ years supervisory/management experience.
• Warehouse experience and forklift ability required.
• Must obtain forklift certification within 3 months.
• Valid Canadian DZ license (air brake endorsement).
• Willing to undergo background checks and driving abstract review.

Responsibilities

• Oversee cross-dock operations and inventory levels.
• Supervise non-CDL truck driver staff and coordinate schedules.
• Train new truck driver staff and orient them.
• Drive company trucks to deliver to customers per schedules.
• Scan products with handheld scanners and manage loading/unloading.
• Ensure loads are secured and compliant with regulations.
• Maintain and communicate vehicle maintenance needs.
