Job description

Title : Lead Shipment Coordinator - Night Shift

Location : Lachine

Overnight shift, starting at 1am

Advantages

  • Permanent full time, Monday to Friday
  • Hours are 1am to 9am schedule
  • Salary depending on experience, 60-70k range.
  • 3 weeks vacation + 5 personal days

Responsibilities

  • Assist in achieving the objectives of the pick-up and drop-off (P&D) operations across dispatch and dock staff
  • Plan the shipment activities and staffing required to meet the objectives
  • Ensure drivers, trucks and trailers are assigned to appropriate dock doors, greet and guide drivers
  • Monitor and track all equipment as assigned or moved
  • Ensure accurate completion of the dock and office duties
  • Ensure dock workers are properly loading / packaging freight, ensure all outbound trailers are loaded to capacity
  • Qualifications

  • 2 to 5 years experience in the transportation and / or warehousing LTL environment
  • Validate forklift license to support for emergencies
  • Strong geographical knowledge of Montreal (preferred) and Ontario (asset)
  • 1 year experience using TMS software (Truckmate preferred)
  • A true team player who posses leadership skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and works well under pressure
  • Organized and ability to prioritize tasks
