Job summary

Raylec Power (Alberta) LP presents an exciting full-time opportunity for a Traffic Signal and Streetlighting Foreman based out of Rocky View County, Alberta. You will report to the General Manager and lead a team in road electrical installations, lighting, and signal work.

The role requires strong supervisory skills, extensive field experience, and the ability to manage safety, scheduling, and collaboration with clients and subcontractors.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in civil electrical industry or related field.
• 3+ years of supervisory experience in civil electrical construction preferred.
• Valid Class 5 license with clean driving record; Class 3 with air brake preferred; Class 1 asset.
• Strong commitment to safety and safe work practices.
• Experience operating construction equipment (mini excavators, digger derricks, skid steers, backhoes).
• Ability to read drawings, contract specs, and standards for traffic signals and roadway lighting.

Responsibilities

• Act as working foreperson, performing supervisory and Journeyperson Electrician duties.
• Plan, coordinate, and oversee daily/weekly work to meet schedule, budget, and quality.
• Conduct site visits and pre-job planning; ensure resources and permits are ready.
• Lead daily work plans and ensure crew understands roles and objectives.
• Maintain safe work environment and ensure compliance with safety and regulatory requirements.
• Ensure work aligns with project specs and QA program.
• Engage in staffing, scheduling, and resource planning with management.
• Supervise employees and subcontractors, provide coaching and training.
