Role Summary

This role reports into the Director, Customer Success & Innovation and is part of the Data & Technology (D&T) customer success and innovation function. In this role, you will help translate business priorities into practical technology, data, automation, and AI‑enabled opportunities that improve outcomes for OMERS business partners. You will support customer roadmaps, synthesize requirements, prepare advisory materials, and help drive adoption of D&T products and services across investment‑related workflows.

  • Supporting the development of customer roadmaps that prioritize initiatives based on business impact, customer value, risk, and technology feasibility.
  • Partnering with business teams to understand objectives, workflows, pain points, and opportunities where technology, data, automation, or AI can improve outcomes.
  • Documenting business needs, user stories, requirements, adoption considerations, and decision points in a clear, action‑oriented way.
  • Building trusted relationships with business stakeholders and D&T teams to connect customer needs with available products, services, and expertise.
  • Analyzing customer feedback, usage data, discovery insights, and workflow observations to identify themes, gaps, and continuous improvement opportunities.
  • Identifying practical AI enablement opportunities across research, due diligence, knowledge management, reporting, workflow automation, portfolio monitoring, and document‑intensive processes.
  • Helping business teams understand appropriate AI use cases, limitations, risks, and adoption considerations, including generative AI assistants and emerging agentic workflows.
  • Leading workstream‑level analysis, discovery interviews, workshops, and problem‑solving sessions with cross‑functional teams and subject matter experts.
  • Synthesizing findings into clear insights, options, recommendations, and implementation considerations for business and technology stakeholders.
  • Supporting proof‑of‑concept activities, workflow assessments, adoption planning and change enablement with product, engineering, data, architecture, risk, and security teams.
Required Skills & Experience
  • 3-5+ years of experience in technology, consulting, strategy, customer success, business analysis, product, data, or investment technology roles.
  • Experience supporting technology‑enabled transformation, ideally within financial services, investment management, Private Markets, Capital Markets, or a comparable environment.
  • Strong business acumen and analytical problem‑solving skills, with the ability to translate business priorities into practical technology, data, automation, and AI opportunities.
  • Excellent communication skills, including the ability to translate technical concepts into practical language for non‑technical stakeholders.
  • Demonstrated ability to gather, structure, and synthesize requirements, user stories, decision points, insights, recommendations, and implementation considerations.
  • Strong stakeholder management skills, with the ability to build trust, influence without direct authority, and work effectively across business and technology teams.
  • Curiosity about business processes and confidence to challenge established thinking in a constructive, evidence‑based way.
  • Strong prioritization, organizational skills, independent judgment, and comfort navigating ambiguity in an environment with competing priorities.
Preferred Skills & Experience
  • Understanding of the investment lifecycle and how technology, data, workflow tools, and AI can support investment professionals and operational teams.
  • Experience or exposure to Private Markets, Capital Markets, investment management, or comparable financial services environments.
  • Demonstrated fluency with enterprise AI platforms and generative AI assistants, including Microsoft Copilot and comparable solutions such as Claude, ChatGPT, or Gemini.
  • Ability to coach, train, and support business users in responsible prompting, use case identification, workflow integration, and AI adoption best practices.
  • Experience identifying or supporting AI proof‑of‑concept opportunities, including defining success criteria, workflow impacts, adoption readiness, risks, limitations, and implementation considerations.
  • Comfort working with data, dashboards, workflow documentation, and analytical outputs; SQL, Python, Power BI, Power Platform, or automation experience is an asset.
