AAA Canada is looking for a Lead Technician Electrical Bus with experience to join our team. The role involves providing technical support for electric vehicle deployments, overseeing service activities, troubleshooting customer issues, and ensuring client satisfaction.
Responsibilities
- Ensure customer satisfaction for vehicles in and out of warranty.
- Support the Market Quality Report (MQR) process to address repeat failures and control warranty costs by issuing reports and evaluating failure data.
- Perform critical maintenance and repairs as needed to ensure service continuity.
- Specialize in troubleshooting technical problems customers have with their products or services.
- Oversee activities of Service Technicians including troubleshooting, parts ordering, and part replacement.
- Investigate root causes and develop countermeasures for repeat failures.
- Analyze Mean Distance Between Failure data and issue reliability reports for the customer.
- Support fleet-wide campaign activities.
- Visit customer and company garages regularly to collaborate with local teams and ensure availability of technical resources for field repairs.
- Find viable commercial and technical solutions to ensure client satisfaction.
- Act as liaison with internal teams to resolve customer issues.
- Be on-call during weekends and evenings.
- Safeguard organizational and personal information confidentially.
- Respect and enforce company policies, rules, and values.
- Foster teamwork and improve communication.
Skills and Qualifications
- 5 to 10 years of hands-on and technical experience in the automotive industry (cars, trucks, buses, etc.).
- Preferably a bachelor’s degree in electrical, electrical technology, mechanical, or electromechanical engineering, or relevant professional experience.
- Ability to communicate effectively across all organizational levels and with customers and stakeholders.
- Excellent analytical skills, strong customer focus, and a positive attitude.
- Familiarity with PLC programming and implementation (Siemens TIA Portal, Logo Controller, Beijer) is an asset.
- Independence and resourcefulness.
- Confident and effective decision-making skills.
- Strong facilitation and conflict resolution skills.
- Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office, especially PowerPoint and Excel.
- Willingness to travel to client sites, suppliers, and factory facilities.
- Bilingual in French and English is an important asset for communication and technical documentation.
