Description

Federated Co-operatives Limited (FCL) is hiring a Lead System Architect Legacy Transformation on a temporary basis (up to 2 years) within our Technology team. This is a remote opportunity and can be based anywhere across Western Canada.

Are you a strategic thinker with deep knowledge of legacy systems such as Mainframe Priya CROH and Agris? Do you have an innovative mindset, are detail-oriented, resilient, and adaptable? This may be the perfect opportunity for you!

What you'll do :

  • Provide oversight and direction for mainframe and related systems, ensuring high performance, integration, and alignment with FCL architecture standards.
  • Contribute to the development and execution of the enterprise-wide mainframe optimization strategy, roadmap, and portfolio.
  • Lead architectural planning and validation for legacy-related projects, ensuring alignment with business goals and technical standards.
  • Act as a trusted advisor, offering legacy architecture consultation to IT leaders, technical teams, and business stakeholders.
  • Maintain comprehensive architectural documentation and validate procedures across infrastructure, data, and integration domains.

Who you'll work with :

The Team : You will work closely with other seasoned Lead System Architects and report to the Senior Manager Legacy. The team strives to cultivate a culture that is collaborative, cross-functional, expertise-oriented, and consultative.

The Collaborators : You will collaborate with other functions within our Technology business unit and across the organization, especially teams utilizing the Mainframe legacy system.

Who you are :

You are looking for a career in Information Technology and :

  • Have 8 years of relevant, progressively responsible experience (FCL direct mainframe experience considered an asset).
  • Have a bachelor's degree in computer science (a combination of relevant education and experience may be considered).
  • Experience with TOGAF Standard and certifications like CISSP are considered assets.
