Job summary

Newmont is seeking a Superintendent Surveying at Red Chris, a fly-in, fly-out copper-gold operation in British Columbia. You will lead surveying activities, ensure data quality, and support mine operations with project execution across teams.

You will develop and mentor survey teams, manage schedules and budgets, and ensure compliance with industry standards while advancing safety and continuous improvement in a remote camp environment.

Qualifications

• Education and professional experience relevant to mine surveying or a related discipline.
• Considerable experience in surveying operations, data analysis, mapping, and survey reporting.
• Strong understanding of surveying methods, technologies, standards, and regulatory requirements.
• Experience managing survey projects, resources, budgets, and schedules.

Responsibilities

• Lead and oversee surveying activities to ensure accurate data collection, analysis, and reporting.
• Partner with engineering, operations, and technical teams to define survey requirements and deliver project support.
• Guide and develop survey teams while providing technical expertise and coaching.
• Monitor survey schedules, resources, budgets, and field activities to achieve safe and efficient project delivery.
• Ensure compliance with industry standards, regulations, and risk management requirements.
