Job description

Our first humanoid robot, HMND 01, is a next-generation labor automation unit, providing highly efficient services across various use cases, starting with industrial applications. We are looking for a Procurement & Logistics Lead to join our team based in Vancouver, CA.

At Humanoid, we strive to create the world’s leading, commercially scalable, safe, and advanced humanoid robots that seamlessly integrate into daily life and amplify human capacity. In a world where artificial intelligence opens up new horizons, our faith in its potential unveils a new outlook where humans and machines collaboratively build a future filled with knowledge, inspiration, and discoveries. The development of functional humanoid robots aims to foster an era of abundance and well-being, reducing poverty and empowering people to pursue their passions.

As the manufacturing, construction, and logistics industries face increasing demands and challenges, our general-purpose humanoid robots are deployed in hazardous or monotonous environments. This ensures human well-being is safeguarded while addressing critical global labor needs.

Responsibilities:
  1. Procurement & Supply Chain Execution: Act immediately on R&D needs—source, order, and track parts with urgency. Find solutions quickly when suppliers fail or lead times are delayed—always have a backup plan. Manage purchase orders and supplier relationships focusing on speed, reliability, and cost.
  2. Global Logistics & Shipping: Move parts and assemblies across Vancouver, London, and Boston. Find and manage high-performance shipping partners to ensure on-time deliveries. Optimize packaging, handling, and transit routes to eliminate bottlenecks.
  3. Import, Export & Customs Compliance: Navigate customs and regulatory processes efficiently. Work with legal and regulatory teams to ensure compliance without delays. Manage duties, tariffs, and paperwork smoothly, minimizing friction in the supply chain.
  4. Workflow Optimization: Identify high-impact improvements to procurement and logistics workflows. Build and maintain real-time visibility into shipments, inventory, and supply risks.
Minimum Requirements:
  • 5+ years of experience in procurement, logistics, or supply chain management (hardware/robotics preferred).
  • Ability to thrive under pressure in fast-paced environments and solve urgent problems.
  • Deep knowledge of global shipping and customs, with specific focus on Canada, US, and UK—expertise in moving hardware quickly, legally, and cost-effectively.
  • Flexible working hours.
  • Experience in startup environments, offering a dynamic and innovative work setting.
