Job Title: Lead SRE Developer

Overview:

We are seeking an application support and SRE specialist to join our client’s Application and Data Engineering group.

What you will be doing:

1. Provide application engineering, tooling, automation, and advanced production support services that adhere to company security blueprints, focusing on performance, reliability, and scalability. This involves understanding technical requirements from application owners and the business, participating in vendor evaluations, conducting proofs of concept, and managing middleware deployment.

What you must have:

1. At least 5 years of hands-on experience with Linux 8.x operating system at an advanced level.
2. Experience with Service-Oriented Architecture, Distributed Systems, scripting languages such as Python and Shell, and relational databases (e.g., Sybase, DB2, SQL, Postgres).
3. Good knowledge of monitoring tools like AppDynamics, Splunk, and JProfiler.
4. Experience with web servers (Apache, Nginx), application servers (Tomcat, JBoss), including application integration, configuration, and troubleshooting.
5. Hands-on experience with Docker containers, Kubernetes, and SaaS platform integration.
6. Exposure to messaging technologies like Kafka.
7. Understanding of load balancers, web proxies, and storage platforms (NAS, SAN) from an implementation perspective.
8. Familiarity with security policies for hosting solutions, including Kerberos, SSL, and TLS.
9. Experience managing large web-based n-tier applications in secure cloud environments.
10. Strong knowledge of SRE principles and tools.
11. Solid infrastructure knowledge in Linux/Unix administration, storage, networking, and web technologies.
12. Experience troubleshooting application issues and incident management.
13. Familiarity with tools like OpenTelemetry, Prometheus, Grafana, Splunk, and Ansible.
14. Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
