Job summary

Virtusa is seeking an experienced SDET/QA automation engineer to join our team in Canada. You will drive test automation strategies, build reliable automation suites, and ensure quality across web UI and API layers.

The ideal candidate has 8+ years in QA, strong Java-based UI automation with Selenium, API automation using Rest-assured, and experience integrating tests into CI/CD pipelines, with excellent communication and problem-solving skills.

Qualifications

• Experience: 8+ years of hands-on experience in software quality assurance, with a significant focus on test automation and SDET roles.
• SDET Certification: Relevant SDET certifications are highly desirable.
• Web UI Automation: Proven expertise in Web UI automation testing using Selenium with Java.
• API Automation: Extensive experience in Restful API automation testing using Rest-assured.
• API Tools: Proficient in API testing with Postman/Fiddler.
• Database Expertise: Strong ability to write and execute complex DB queries for backend service and data validation.
• Performance Testing: Good understanding of Performance Testing Concepts and practical experience analysing Performance Test Reports from tools like JMeter/LoadRunner.
• Agile Methodology: Solid working experience and understanding of Agile methodologies.
• Automation Frameworks: Hands-on experience designing, developing, and enhancing automation frameworks.
