Join to apply for the Lead Site Reliability Engineer- EN role at RBC.

This role will be responsible for the development, implementation, and support of Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) solutions for applications supported by the Digital Branch SRE organization. As the engineering arm of the Digital Branch SRE organization, this team collaborates with the Delivery arm and other IT partners to succeed. The incumbent will need intermediate knowledge and experience in application development and/or technology operations, performing production support and partnering with the SRE Delivery team in incident and problem management.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead reviews of all production-bound SRE solutions for code, performance, security, maintainability, compliance, and change management.
• Drive automation and process improvements.
• Monitor, audit, and track technical work streams.
• Act as a portfolio SME, understanding and documenting application components and infrastructure.
• Serve as an escalation point in the on-call rotation, supporting maintenance, scheduled work, and deployments.
• Manage incident and problem management, including RCA and action items.
• Focus on continuous improvement and technical standards, enhancing productivity, monitoring, tooling, and best practices.
• Manage technology currency, including server patching, certificate renewal, and compliance, with automation in mind.
• Communicate frequently with RBC partners and employees across Canada and globally.

Qualifications:

• Advanced knowledge of industry practices, especially in SRE.
• Experience in diverse environments: Cloud, distributed, mainframe, workflows, APIs, databases.
• Excellent, direct communication skills.
• Stakeholder management and negotiation skills.
• Ability to influence at the director level.
• Hands-on experience with SRE tools and languages: Ansible, Dynatrace, Moog, PagerDuty, ServiceNow, GitHub, Slack, Elastic, Logstash, Kibana, Blue Prism, Catch Point.
