Job Description

Our Transportation team has built a reputation for excellence by delivering thousands of projects over the past 30 years. We seek a highly skilled Lead / Senior Engineer specializing in Collision Reconstruction. This role involves investigating vehicle collisions, applying engineering principles, and delivering evidence-based conclusions. It requires technical expertise, leadership, and the ability to analyze complex collision scenarios.

The position can be based out of any major office across Canada.

Job Responsibilities

  • Lead investigations of vehicle collisions, assessing impact dynamics, vehicle speeds, driver behavior, etc.
  • Analyze physical evidence like vehicle damage, skid marks, road conditions, using forensic techniques.
  • Apply physics, vehicle dynamics, and biomechanics to determine collision causes.
  • Prepare reports for clients, legal teams, and insurers.
  • Provide expert testimony in legal proceedings.
  • Support business development by expanding collision reconstruction services.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Automotive Engineering or related field.
  • Professional Engineer (P.Eng.) license from PEO or equivalent.
  • At least 10 years of experience in collision reconstruction or forensic engineering.
  • Expertise in analyzing complex vehicular collisions and human factors.
  • Proficiency in collision reconstruction software (e.g., PC-Crash, HVE).
  • Excellent communication skills for technical and non-technical audiences.
  • CFVA certification is an asset.
