Role Overview

You will join our dedicated Security team supporting our Institutional business lines, helping create a secure user experience. Your responsibilities include supporting core security operations, collaborating with product and technical teams, and designing security features that balance security with usability. A strong understanding of backend systems and cryptography is advantageous.

Key Responsibilities

1. Manage the Information Security program for our EMEA entities.
2. Operate core security processes supporting Coinbase products used by EMEA.
3. Evaluate and improve operational processes to enhance security and usability.
4. Conduct data analysis to assess security initiatives and identify improvement opportunities.
5. Develop policy and risk management documentation.
6. Analyze and implement regulatory requirements as our operations expand.

Candidate Requirements

• Expertise in designing and improving operational processes for efficiency at scale.
• Strong skills in evaluating and reporting data for large initiatives, including at an executive level.
• Ability to communicate effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Continuous learning mindset to stay updated on emerging threats and technologies.
• Technical understanding of backend engineering architectures.
• Experience with SQL, preferably in Snowflake or similar platforms.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with Looker or other BI visualization tools.
• Experience in high-security or highly regulated industries.
• Knowledge of cryptography, multi-party computation, or key management best practices.
• Bachelor's degree in Information Security, Computer Science, Engineering, or related fields.

Pay Transparency: The annual salary range is $211,500 CAD, including target bonus, equity, and benefits.
