Your role and responsibilities
In this role, you will have the opportunity to be responsible for the sales within the New England area. This technical professional sells automation products and services, assists customers in resolving issues, grows relationships and accounts, and suggests technological improvements. The role often collaborates with engineers and sales support to understand requirements, propose solutions, and ensure successful sales outcomes. The work model for the role is: #LI - Hybrid. This role is contributing to the Robotics & Discrete Automation Machine Automation division in the Northeast region of the U.S. Main stakeholders are both our internal and external customers. You will be mainly accountable for:
Communicating to the customers about details related to delivery time, payments, and general terms and conditions, in line with ABB's offering and strategy.
Ensuring efficient marketing activities and communicating value proposition to customers.
Identifying and driving the development of new market opportunities in the designated market.
Managing administrative procedures in sales processes and supporting cash collection and project management activities, when needed.
Qualifications for the role
Bachelor's degree in engineering or related discipline, or equivalent experience
Four or more years of directly-related experience in machine automation and motion control
Up to 50% travel, mostly in the region with occasional other domestic and international travel; valid driver's license and passport required with no barriers to travel.
Ability to understand and explain complex technical products and solutions.
Effective interpersonal and presentation skills.
Interested in the application of leading-edge technology across industries.
Candidates must already have a work authorization that would permit them to work for ABB in the US.
