Scout campers are redefining how adventurers experience the outdoors. With our innovative, lightweight, and off-grid capable campers, we empower people to explore further and live more freely. We believe in crafting experiences, not just products—and we’re launching our first-ever Scout Hub in Abbotsford, BC to deliver on that mission in a whole new way.

We're looking for a skilled and entrepreneurial Lead RV Service Technician to play a foundational role in delivering top-tier service, setting new industry standards, and supporting the growth of this exciting new retail-service model.

Position Overview

The Lead RV Service Technician is responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining all Scout campers and GFC tents. Reporting directly to the Director of Experiential Hubs, this position is ideal for a hands-on problem solver with an entrepreneurial mindset who’s ready to grow their skillset while shaping a new standard in the camper service industry.

Key Responsibilities

(Include but are not limited to):

  • Creating a personalized and curated build and service experience through customized upfitting tailored to the needs of the customer.
  • Troubleshoot and diagnose Scout campers requiring repair and maintenance.
  • Deliver and install campers and tents on customer vehicles.
  • Collaborate with the production and service teams to ensure pre-delivery inspections (PDIs) and quality standards are met.
  • Perform propane and 12V electrical system repairs and maintenance.
  • Complete suspension upgrades for customer vehicles.
  • Maintain accurate documentation of all repair and installation work.
  • Support sales and operations during slower service periods.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned by the leadership team.

Qualifications

  • 4+ years of experience in automotive or RV technician roles.
  • Entrepreneurial spirit to help launch and grow a new style of camper retail and service hub.
  • Red Seal certification (preferred but not required).
  • RV or automotive maintenance experience (required).
  • Experience in RV & trailer repair (an asset).
  • Strong diagnostic skills.
  • Experience in plumbing, carpentry, or automotive/industrial electrical systems.
  • Familiarity with vehicle hitch and wiring installation.
  • General home renovation or building experience is a plus.

Expectations & Availability

  • Available to work weekends, public holidays, and occasional evening shifts for events.
  • Scheduling and availability may vary depending on business needs and leadership direction.
  • Willingness to take on additional projects and responsibilities as the business grows.
