We are working with a company to identify a Lead Risk Specialist to work at Darlington's Nuclear site.

Job Overview
- Lead cross-functional risk review meetings and develop reports for management and executives.
- Possess strong capability to understand and diagnose project technical topics and related risks.
- Capture inputs from various SMEs, document risk descriptions, characterizations, mitigation actions, and status updates in the risk register.
- Provide project teams with risk assessment methodologies, risk measurement techniques, and expertise in establishing Risk Registers through facilitation, assistance, and training.
- Apply strong analytical skills in costing and scheduling, and understand their implications in mitigation and contingency planning.
- Demonstrate strong planning skills and experience with reporting tools such as Microsoft Excel and Access.
- Assist business lines in implementing risk assessment and measurement methodologies by coordinating training and facilitation across units and project teams.
- Work collaboratively with stakeholders to achieve results independently, without step-by-step guidance.
- Plan work steps to align with manager’s expectations and objectives.
- Conduct major risk assessments, develop, and implement new risk methodologies, especially when managing diverse stakeholder opinions with tact and diplomacy.
- Analyze, research, and maintain risk data across business units, projects, and external sources.
- Support the development and implementation of risk indicators and measurement tools to enhance overall risk management.
- Facilitate risk workshops for establishing business unit risk assessments.
Qualifications
- Over 8 up to 10 years of experience in engineering design, outage management, project management, or related fields.
- Experience in nuclear project refurbishment is highly desirable.
- Experience in contingency modeling is preferred.
