Metrolinx is connecting communities across the Greater Golden Horseshoe. Metrolinx operates GO Transit, UP Express, and the PRESTO fare payment system. We are building new and improved rapid transit, including GO Expansion Light Rail Transit routes and major expansions to Toronto's subway system, to improve mobility for all. We are seeking a Risk Lead to develop and support project risk management strategies across assigned projects. This role involves developing, measuring, and monitoring Key Risk Indicators (KRIs), conducting quantitative risk modeling (cost and schedule), ensuring data integrity, and facilitating risk workshops with stakeholders. The Risk Lead will provide insights based on risk management outcomes, support project delivery on budget and schedule, and contribute to the continuous improvement of the risk management function.

What will I be doing

• Supporting the development of Risk Management Plans, risk registers, KRIs, and reporting through meetings and workshops to identify, assess, and track risks and mitigation actions.
• Developing and assuring detailed quantitative risk analysis models (cost and schedule) to inform decision-making, contingency planning, and risk transfer strategies.
• Engaging with external partners to conduct joint risk reviews and mitigation strategies.
• Fostering an environment of continuous improvement and innovative thinking within the risk management team.
• Building strong collaborative relationships across business units and with external stakeholders.

What Skills and Qualifications Do I Need

• Degree in a relevant field (e.g., Analytics, Engineering, Construction Management, Business) or equivalent experience.
• Experience in risk management, preferably in civil infrastructure or construction projects.
• Experience with project controls in a construction environment.
• Proficiency with industry software such as Active Risk Manager (ARM), Primavera Risk Analysis (PRA), @Risk.
• Strong knowledge of risk management principles and project controls.
• Excellent communication, presentation, and stakeholder engagement skills.
• Analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Proficiency in MS Office: Excel, Word, PowerPoint.
• Certifications such as PMI Risk Management Professional, PMP, or CRM are preferred.
