Job summary

Anthem is seeking an experienced Architectural Technologist to maintain and expand its residential model line across the Calgary and Edmonton regions. You will draft working drawings in Revit/AutoCAD, ensure compliance with Anthem guidelines and bylaws, and collaborate with construction, estimation, and product development teams.

You will design show homes, review as-built issues, and support external contractors while keeping plans consistent with Anthem standards.

Qualifications

• Post-secondary degree in Architectural Technologies, Civil Engineering or equivalent.
• 5+ years of residential construction industry experience.
• Proficiency in Revit, AutoCAD and Microsoft Office products.
• Strong organizational skills and are extremely detail-oriented.
• Proven experience with project cost controls and maintaining set budgets.

Responsibilities

• Maintain Anthem's model line and production files.
• Understand the local homebuilding market and trends to expand, update and refine existing model lines.
• Assist with the design and development of new home models, from concept to working drawings, paying attention to Anthem Guidelines and bylaws for Calgary and Edmonton.
• Create blackline set of drawings, floor plans, sections, pre-planned options.
• Liaise with Construction and Estimating regarding construction details and engineering efficiencies.
• Collaborate across Anthem for Product Development and Specifications.
• Design Show Homes and Sales Centers, review as-built construction issues and drive changes when required.
• Provide support to external contractors (drawing guidelines, architectural controls, etc.).
• Maintain Anthem standards and plan consistency for all stock plans and details.
• Liaise with City regarding code, bylaw, or application concerns/questions.
• Keep current on Alberta code, bylaw and industry changes.
