Job summary

Canada West Ski Areas Association in Banff, AB, is seeking a Rentals Head Service Technician to lead a small service team on the Rentals Floor. You will supervise tuning, repairs and maintenance of the rental fleet, train staff, assist guests, and ensure accurate cash handling and safety compliance.

This role requires strong skiing ability, advanced tuning skills on Wintersteiger equipment, and experience managing seasonal staff.

Qualifications

• Strong skier with tuning/repair experience.
• Experience leading a busy service team in a rental or retail setting.
• Ability to train and supervise seasonal staff.
• Advanced ski tuning and repair knowledge, including bindings.
• Proficient with rental software and MS Office.

Responsibilities

• Lead the Service Tech Team to deliver excellent guest service.
• Train and supervise Service Technicians.
• Tune, repair and adjust ski/snowboard equipment per procedures.
• Safely handle tools and maintain work area; assist during busy periods.
• Manage cash outs and ensure accurate guest accounts.
• Maintain stock levels and place purchase orders.
• Ensure compliance with liability waivers and safety standards.
• Work within knowledge limits and conduct weekly bench tests.
