Ethos Veterinary Health in Langley, BC seeks a Lead Registered Veterinary Technician (RVT) to mentor a team in a renowned emergency hospital.

You will guide clinical teams, enhance patient care, and collaborate with leadership to improve workflows and outcomes within Western Canada’s largest standalone ER facility.

Qualifications

• Leadership or supervisory experience in a veterinary setting.
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to mentor RVTs and support staff in high-stress environments.
• Fluent English reading and speaking required.

Responsibilities

• Mentor, coach, and support Veterinary Technicians to encourage professional growth, confidence, and clinical excellence.
• Deliver high-quality patient care in a fast-paced emergency and specialty veterinary hospital environment.
• Partner with hospital leadership to improve workflows, efficiency, and patient outcomes.
• Support team members during complex, critical, and high-stress cases.
• Help foster a positive, respectful, and collaborative workplace culture.
• Assist with onboarding, training, and development initiatives for Veterinary Technicians.
• Contribute to scheduling support and team performance initiatives.
• Serve as a clinical role model by demonstrating advanced technical skills and patient advocacy.
• Communicate effectively with veterinarians, technicians, assistants, and clients to ensure seamless patient care.

Lead Registered Veterinary Technician (RVT)

$40–47/hr CAD based on experience + $4 shift differential (evening & overnight) - Sign-on bonus up to $5,000

Full-time opportunity in Langley, British Columbia at Animal Emergency Clinic of the Fraser Valley

Schedule: 3 to 4 shifts of 8 to 10 hours per week; one weekend shift per month required; rotating schedule including some statutory holidays

As a Lead Registered Veterinary Technician at Animal Emergency Clinic of Fraser Valley (AECFV), you'll provide exceptional patient care while serving as a mentor and resource for your fellow Veterinary Technicians in one of the largest and busiest standalone emergency hospitals in Western Canada.

What You Bring

• Registered Veterinary Technician (RVT) required
• Previous leadership, supervisory, or mentorship experience preferred
• Strong emergency, critical care, or specialty medicine experience preferred
• Positive attitude with a demonstrated ability to motivate and support team members
• Strong communication, organization, and problem-solving skills
• Ability to remain calm, focused, and supportive in a fast-paced environment
• Passion for patient care, professional development, and continuous learning
• Fluent English speaking and reading skills required
