Job summary

Animal Emergency Clinic of Fraser Valley in Langley, BC, is seeking a locum Registered Veterinary Technologist (RVT) to join our emergency team. This contract-based role offers flexible shifts including evenings, weekends, overnights and holidays to cover hospital needs.

Ideal candidates hold active BCVTA registration in good standing, have prior emergency/critical care experience, and can onboard quickly while working independently within a collaborative hospital.

$37–50 CAD/hr based on experience

Schedule: Locum, contract-based. A flexible number of shifts per month, scheduled around hospital coverage needs and may include evenings, weekends, overnights, and some statutory holidays.

In Your Day-to-day, You Will

• Active registration as a Veterinary Technologist with the BCVTA, in good standing
• Prior emergency and critical care experience, with the ability to work independently and onboard quickly
• A passion for emergency and critical care medicine for small animals
• The ability to recognize and manage multiple priorities, including ongoing triage assessment
• Commitment to maintaining professional registration and continuing education
• Strong team skills with excellent oral and written communication
• Accuracy, organization, flexibility, and initiative
• The physical ability to meet the demands of the role: standing for extended periods, bending, crouching, and lifting
