Job summary

Summit GM in Fort McMurray, Alberta, part of the Kaizen Automotive Group, seeks a Red Seal Journeyman Technician to diagnose, maintain, and repair customer vehicles to OEM standards.

You will work with the Service Advisors, participate in OEM training, and mentor apprentices while upholding safety and quality to deliver an exceptional customer experience.

This full‑time role offers a strong benefits package and a salary range of CAD 100,000–160,000 per year.

Qualifications

• Red Seal certification or provincial equivalent required.
• Strong diagnostic and repair skills in electrical, mechanical and electronic systems.
• Ability to use OEM diagnostic tools and modern repair technologies.

Responsibilities

• Perform diagnostics, repairs and maintenance following OEM guidelines and safety standards.
• Conduct inspections, identify repair needs, and document repair orders.
• Diagnose complex issues and communicate findings with service team.
• Road test vehicles as needed to verify repairs and ensure customer satisfaction.
• Mentor apprentices or junior technicians as assigned.
