Job summary

ABC Fitness in Canada seeks a Lead QA Engineer (SDET / QA Automation) to architect and drive AI-augmented quality systems for fitness platforms. You’ll lead test strategy, automation frameworks, UI visual regression, and performance testing while mentoring the QA practice across squads.

Beyond hands-on coding, you’ll champion DORA metrics, integrate Gen AI tooling, and collaborate with product and engineering to boost test coverage and release confidence.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field is required.
• 6+ years of software development or SDET experience with strong automation focus.
• Strong proficiency in TypeScript for test automation and framework development.
• Experience with REST API testing and CI/CD workflows.
• Experience implementing UI visual regression testing in CI/CD pipelines.

Responsibilities

• Lead day-to-day Scrum activities and planning.
• Define test strategy and oversee test automation delivery for your squad.
• Own small to mid-sized QA projects and drive quality initiatives.
• Lead integration of AI tooling into QA processes and maintain QA standards.
• Architect and implement UI visual regression testing and baseline management.
