Qualifications

• 8+ years of experience designing and developing software solutions involving distributed computing, microservices, APIs, and enterprise integrations.
• Experience in financial services.
• Strong hands-on development with Python, Node.js, TypeScript, MongoDB, REST APIs, and JSON.
• Experience designing and delivering large-scale data platforms and enterprise solutions, including integrations with third-party systems and document management systems.
• Experience with cloud architecture, microservices, Jenkins, Docker, Kubernetes, GitHub, Linux, Windows, DevOps, and data integration technologies.
• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or an equivalent field, with strong analytical, communication, and presentation skills.

About the roleAs a Lead Python Developer (MongoDB/Node.js/TypeScript), you will make an impact by designing and developing scalable, secure, and high-performing applications and integration solutions within a complex financial services environment. You will combine hands-on development expertise with technical leadership to help define solution architecture, integration patterns, and cloud-based solutions.In this role, you will:• Design and develop scalable applications, microservices, APIs, and integration solutions using Python, Node.js, TypeScript, and MongoDB.• Provide technical leadership in defining solution architectures, identifying gaps between current and target states, and recommending scalable solutions.• Design and support REST APIs and integrations across on-premises, cloud, third-party, and document management systems.• Build solutions that support large data volumes while considering performance, security, infrastructure, and enterprise architecture requirements.• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement cloud, DevOps, data integration, and security best practices.Work modelWe believe hybrid work is the way forward as we strive to provide flexibility wherever possible. The base salary for this position ranges between CAD $75,000 - CAD $117,000 per year. Where the successful candidate may fall within the range depends on relevant education, work and/or management experience and other business-related and job-necessary qualifications. This position is also eligible for Cognizant's discretionary annual performance-based bonus, as well as benefits that support your physical, mental and financial wellbeing.
