As a Professional Development and Training Lead, you will assist and work closely with a Senior Manager and the broader professional development team in designing, implementing, delivering, and evaluating comprehensive training programs and initiatives aligned with organizational goals. These programs are devised to enhance skills, boost performance, foster a culture of continuous learning, and support professional growth and career advancement.

What will you do?

  • Assist a Senior Manager and collaborate with the broader professional development team to:
  • Plan, execute, and deliver practical training material via various delivery methods (e.g., virtual, in-person, video tutorials, handbooks, job aids, PowerPoint decks, etc.)
  • Create and deliver practical training components of the learning curriculum
  • Liaise with various teams across the country to establish best practices and create supporting content and guides
  • Develop, design, and deliver program materials seamlessly
  • Establish and deliver practical training to new and existing employees as a subject matter expert (SME)
  • Be the “go-to” person for regions for practical training needs, including acting as mentor and coach to staff
  • Identify training and accreditation needs and priorities nationally
  • Gather data on training effectiveness, employee engagement, and skills development
  • Assess training programs' effectiveness through feedback collection and analysis
  • Evaluate employee performance based on training outcomes, developing standardized evaluation tools
  • Develop the strategic vision for professional development and training programs
  • Ensure training delivery aligns with strategic organizational objectives
  • Leverage Royal Trust-specific industry knowledge as a resource to the broader team

  • Bilingualism (English and French) required, as you will work with RBC partners and employees across Canada
  • Excellent presentation and communication skills
  • Ability to work effectively with others
  • Ability to work under pressure to meet deadlines
  • Excellent organization skills and attention to detail
  • Industry knowledge – STEP TEP designation

Nice-to-have

  • Experience managing Estate, Trust, and Incapacity accounts end-to-end
  • Knowledge of Common and Civil Law
  • Education in adult learning
  • Strong PC skills, including Microsoft Office applications and video software for creating training tutorials
