Job description

About Signal 1

Signal 1 enables health systems to unlock the value of their AI investments while managing risk. With rigorous AI governance across homegrown models, EHR-embedded solutions, and third-party AI vendors, our AI Management System (AIMS) provides healthcare leaders visibility and control across their growing AI portfolios. Purpose-built for healthcare and informed by experience managing AI at scale, Signal 1 empowers health systems to accelerate AI adoption responsibly.

About the role

As Lead Product Manager, you will drive the vision, strategy, and roadmap for our flagship product, our AI Management System. You will work with a core team of engineers, data scientists, and designers to build a category-creating product that enables major health systems to adopt and scale AI responsibly. You will lead product vision, strategy, and execution to meet ambitious company goals, working closely with clinical and functional leaders at our strategic health system partners in the US and Canada.

What you'll do

  • Drive the vision, strategy, and roadmap for AIMS by...
  • Develop a deep understanding of customer needs, emerging industry and AI trends, and our core technology.
  • Collaborate with engineers, data scientists, implementation managers, and designers to build an intuitive product for managing complex healthcare AI oversight.
  • Support launch planning and customer training in partnership with go-to-market and deployment teams.
  • Engage with external stakeholders, including health system executives, clinicians, and frontline users, to understand and validate user needs.
  • Work with industry groups like the Coalition for Health AI (CHAI) and the Health Management Academy to shape healthcare AI governance policies.

Note: This role involves being on the road 1–2 times per quarter to work with strategic partners in the US and attend industry conferences and events.

What we're looking for

  • 5+ years of product management experience in SaaS. We value the ability to independently drive strategy and execution for complex, early-stage products over strict years of experience. If you believe you can excel in this role despite fewer years, we encourage you to apply.
  • Proven success in shipping B2B software, preferably in enterprise healthcare.
  • Strong technical understanding of AI development, validation, and monitoring.
  • Excellent communication skills to explain complex AI concepts to diverse audiences.
  • Ability to work with multiple stakeholders across technical, clinical, regulatory, and executive domains to align efforts.

Bonus points for

  • Experience with healthcare standards (e.g., HL7, FHIR) or regulatory frameworks (FDA, HIPAA, ISO 42001).
  • Experience with early-stage, zero-to-one products.
  • Experience building for large enterprises with complex integrations.
  • Knowledge of AI risk management, model governance, or MLOps platforms.

What we offer

  • Competitive salary and equity package.
  • Comprehensive health benefits.
  • Hybrid work environment (2-3 days/week in Yorkville heritage space).
  • Opportunity to shape the future of responsible AI in healthcare.
