As a Lead Product Designer focused on growth, you will drive design initiatives that directly influence user activation, engagement, and retention. You will work across the full spectrum of the product, from launching innovative 0→1 features to optimizing existing flows, translating behavioral insights into impactful user experiences. Collaborating closely with product managers, engineers, and data teams, you will create scalable solutions that accelerate product adoption and growth. This role emphasizes strategic problem-solving, experimentation, and high-quality execution, offering an opportunity to mentor peers while shaping the design culture. You will be empowered to make data-informed decisions, iterate rapidly, and help build experiences that drive meaningful user impact. Strong collaboration and curiosity about AI-enhanced workflows are highly valued.

Accountabilities
  • Design and launch improvements to key user journeys that increase activation, engagement, and retention.
  • Lead 0→1 feature initiatives, rapidly prototyping, testing, and iterating to drive growth.
  • Partner with cross-functional teams—including product, engineering, and data—to deliver growth-focused design solutions.
  • Apply behavioral design principles to reduce friction, create growth loops, and improve user participation.
  • Analyze experiment results and research to guide design decisions and identify growth opportunities.
  • Mentor and support teammates by modeling high-quality design craft, experimentation practices, and growth-driven thinking.
  • Explore and apply AI tools to enhance prototyping, ideation, and design workflows where appropriate.
Requirements
  • 8+ years of experience in product or UX design, preferably in B2C or growth-focused contexts.
  • Proven experience leading design initiatives that drive measurable user impact across activation, engagement, and retention.
  • Strong track record in both 0→1 product development and iterative optimization at scale.
  • Experience designing emotionally complex user journeys in trust- or motivation-driven domains (e.g., civic tech, health, finance).
  • Proficiency with design systems, experimentation platforms, and user research methods.
  • Ability to influence cross-functional teams without direct reports, providing clarity and alignment on design decisions.
  • Expertise in behavioral and emotional design, identifying friction points, and creating actionable solutions.
  • Curiosity and openness to integrating AI into design processes, from prototyping to content generation.
Preferred / Nice-to-Have
  • Experience in social impact, civic tech, or mission-driven products.
  • Background in mentoring or leading growth design teams.
  • Strong UX writing skills and attention to detail in design execution.
Benefits
  • Competitive salary based on location and experience, ranging from $185,500 to $218,000 USD annually.
  • Remote work flexibility across the US, Canada (Alberta, British Columbia, or Ontario), and Mexico.
  • Global benefits including unlimited PTO, a minimum of 18 weeks paid parental leave, and wellness perks.
  • Opportunity to work on mission-driven projects with measurable social impact.
  • Collaborative, inclusive, and high-performing team environment.
  • Professional development and mentorship opportunities within a senior design role.
