Get to Know the Team

The design team follows a simple philosophy: our design must be well thought through, our products must be useful and delight our customers all while enhancing their lives.

The Fulfilment team's mission is to make Grab the platform of choice for Driver Partners by supporting them efficiently on and off the road. Our design team is divided into several empowered teams focused on creating an efficient app experience, ensuring fair and transparent earnings, and maintaining a healthy supply pipeline. We focus on creating solutions that are simple and delightful for our Driver Partners to improve opportunities and efficiency to fulfil consumer orders without fail, rain or shine.

Get to Know the Role

As a Lead Product Designer on the Fulfilment team, you will lead product design outcomes for several problem space teams, ensuring quality and excellence across these areas. You will work collaboratively with different teams (Product, Engineering, Data Science) to explore user needs and create impactful solutions. You will report to the Senior Design Manager, Fulfilment.

This role is based in Jakarta and fully onsite.

The Critical Tasks You Will Perform

• You will drive product design outcomes and strategic direction across teams by leading complex initiatives and ensuring solutions address value, usability, feasibility, and viability.
• You will facilitate cross-domain, function, and team collaboration by driving discussions, workshops, and explorations to align and increase efficiencies.
• You will develop problem-framing approaches , design simple solutions to complex problems, and seamlessly integrate multiple products.
• You will independently navigate complexities, driving problem exploration, solution discovery, and delivery while helping designers in adjacent teams deliver better work.
• You will defend design decisions, communicate results and their implications to senior stakeholders, and support business/product stakeholders.
• You will produce visual designs that elevate quality, consistency, and user experience credibility, using prototyping tools to create interactive and realistic prototypes.
• You will dedicate time to research the latest advancements, experiment with innovative approaches, and apply Service Design, User Research, Front-end Development, Accessible Design, or Design Systems.
  
  

Qualifications

What Essential Skills You Will Need

• A minimum of 8 years of experience, with a portfolio demonstrating design process, shipped work, and influence.
• Experience working on cross-functional product teams.
• Strong fundamentals in interaction and visual design craft and practice.
• Experience coaching others in interaction design, visual design, or prototyping.
• Proficiency in mobile and front-end web standards, development, and tools like Figma, Protopie, After Effects. Experience in Service Design, User Research, Front-end Development, Accessible Design, or Design Systems is advantageous.
• Stay updated with the latest advancements and experimenting with new approaches to enhance design outcomes.
• Provide a portfolio of your recent design work in English, showcasing your contribution and the impact of your projects. We recommend you provide clear context, outline your end-to-end workflow, and demonstrate how you go from problem discovery to launch.
