Adecco is currently hiring a full-time, highly experienced Lead Process Engineer to oversee the process design team and manage engineering contractor deliverables for a high-impact Carbon Capture project for our client in the Oil and Gas sector in Calgary, AB. This role plays a critical part in aligning technical execution with project objectives and ensuring seamless coordination across all engineering interfaces.

• Shift: Monday to Friday

Responsibilities:

• Lead and supervise junior engineers in developing process design specs (heat & material balances, process flow, equipment design, control systems, safety facilities)
• Provide technical oversight and manage contractor performance during FEED and detailed engineering
• Oversee process interfaces between carbon capture and adjacent brownfield projects
• Coordinate with licensed technology providers (e.g., amine systems) while maintaining NDA and IP protection
• Conduct process optimization studies to identify cost savings, safety improvements, and configuration options
• Participate in HAZOP reviews and ensure alignment with safety and regulatory requirements
• Support commissioning and start-up activities as needed
• Establish team structure and manage technical delivery across multi-cultural, remote teams

Qualifications:

• Extensive experience in petroleum refining, chemical processing, or working with engineering contractors
• Bachelor's or master's degree in chemical engineering (APEGA-licensed Engineer required)
• Proven leadership on capital projects and major project development
• Strong collaboration, communication, and autonomous decision-making skills
• Experience working under NDAs and with licensed technologies to protect IP
• Proficient in Microsoft Office; fluent in English (verbal and written)
• Must be legally eligible to work and reside in Canada
