The Lead Pricing Analyst will work with the CDM Team to ensure that all pricing and contract updates are made in a timely manner and provided to the business with as much lead time as possible. The Lead Pricing Analyst will work with sales leaders to enhance margin performance and drive improvements in execution. This role is essential to inspire and influence CDM Members. The successful candidate will have a great opportunity to lead both new and experienced analysts.
Responsibilities
- Support a team of pricing analysts in their day-to-day work effectively and follow best practices.
- Manage a smaller portfolio of Suppliers to maintain CDM member duties, Pricing and New Item Set up.
- Build and maintain strong data integrity on system pricing and new item set up.
- Address first level issues and concerns within the pricing team.
- Coach the CDM Team to communicate price strategies and changes to relevant departments of the organization.
- Conduct routine audits of pricing in the system.
- Review low margin and make adjustments where necessary, while providing insights to management.
- Review and communicate special customer pricing in conjunction with cost updates or as directed by management.
- Support pricing practices and initiatives through problem solving, issue resolution and communication with multiple departments.
- Review denials and ensure contracts accurate in system.
- Conducts staff training on internal pricing tools and pricing strategies in place to achieve department LEAP goals.
- Implement process improvement initiatives to continuously improve the efficiency of the team.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree preferred.
- Strong analytical and research skills.
- Understands the impact of pricing on profit margins.
- Good negotiations and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Effective reporting and presentation skills.
- Enthusiastic and proactive team player.
- Strong Microsoft Excel skills is a must.
- Must be detail oriented, with strong organizational and communication skills.
- Motivated self-starter with the interpersonal skills required to work with others in a collaborative environment.
- Comfortable learning new systems; quick learner.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced national distribution environment.
- Require office experience in a professional environment.
