Job summary

Randstad Canada in Vancouver is seeking a technical lead to bridge complex power systems analysis and real-world execution for renewable energy projects.

You will drive end-to-end design, modeling, and comprehensive technical reports, delivering results for major assets while collaborating with multidisciplinary teams.

This role requires a strong engineering background, travel readiness, and the ability to lead critical design decisions in a dynamic energy environment.

Qualifications

  • Degree-level electrical engineering required.
  • Specialized power engineering qualifications are well-regarded.
  • HV power system design and analysis experience.
  • Experience with network analysis and performance standards studies.
  • Proficient with DigSilent and ETAP modeling tools.
  • Willingness to travel to project sites as needed.

Responsibilities

  • Lead end-to-end design lifecycle for HV power systems projects.
  • Produce modeling, technical reports, and execution plans for major renewables assets.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams across resources and energy sectors.

As the technical lead, you will bridge the gap between complex power systems analysis and real-world execution. Responsibilities

Spearhead the end-to-end design lifecycle—from sophisticated modeling and technical reporting to final execution for major projects in the resources and renewable energy sectors.

Qualifications
  • Degree-level Electrical Engineering qualifications; specialized power engineering qualifications are well-regarded.
  • Analysis and design of HV power systems, including powerlines and substations.
  • Experience in specialized network analysis and performance standard studies.
  • Knowledge of electrical, instrumentation, and controls applications.
  • Proficiency in power systems modelling packages like DigSilent (PowerFactory) and ETAP.
  • Ability to self-manage and travel as required by projects.
