Job summary

PowerCo Canada Inc. is seeking a Specialist, Construction Design (Piping) to lead BSI design activities, coordinate multidisciplinary inputs, and ensure alignment with global standards and project timelines.

The role focuses on piping design coordination, tender documentation, design change management, and 3D model governance within a high-stakes battery facility project in St. Thomas, Ontario. Strong collaboration and international travel up to 10% are expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Industrial/Mechanical) or related field.
• 3–7 years in Construction Project Management or related role.
• Strong knowledge of industrial piping system design and coordination.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate multidisciplinary design meetings and ensure technical alignment.
• Develop and maintain tender documentation including layouts and user requirements.
• Govern design change processes and assess technical, schedule, and cost impacts.
• Track supplier design deliverables and ensure quality against contracts.
• Oversee 3D model management, clash detection, and digital coordination.
• Lead value engineering and continuous improvement initiatives.
