Job summary

Trans Mountain Corporation, based in Calgary, is seeking a seasoned Manager, Pipeline, Mainline Optimization Project (MOP) to lead the pipeline workstream. This role focuses on increasing Line 2 capacity from 540 kbpd sustainable to 805 kbpd sustainable, with 840 kbpd sustainable winter capability.

Early In Service targeted for early 2029, with Full Service by mid-2029. The position requires a Professional Engineer with strong leadership, cross-functional collaboration, and extensive oil and gas

Qualifications

  • Post-secondary engineering education required.
  • Professional Engineer registration in Alberta (APEGA/APEGBC).
  • PMP certification is an asset.
  • Minimum 10 years of progressive experience in project leadership.
  • Oil & gas midstream project experience preferred.
  • Strong leadership, communication and collaboration skills.
  • Willingness to travel as required.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities

  • Lead pipeline workstream including 30 km NPS 36 segment and 9 valve additions.
  • Manage all phases of pipeline project execution across engineering, construction, commissioning and regulatory activities.
  • Provide day-to-day direction to PMs, engineers, contractors and support teams.
  • Oversee scoping, bidding, evaluation, award and vendor management processes.
  • Develop and administer construction contracts and execution plans.
  • Review contractor documents and plans; obtain stakeholder acceptance.
  • Collaborate with Engineering and Operations through design to readiness for commissioning.
  • Manage interfaces with pump stations, terminals, tie-ins, ROW and outages.
  • Maintain execution plans, schedules, budgets, risk registers and Stage-Gate deliverables.
  • Ensure CER compliance and regulatory commitments throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Prepare updates and reports for project leadership.
