The Non-Functional and Performance Lead manages teams and integrates industry expertise within a defined area. This role involves setting standards, understanding how areas integrate, and contributing to the overall function. Responsibilities include planning, budgeting, policy formulation, and managing a team, including performance evaluations, hiring, and disciplinary actions.

Responsibilities
  • Lead initiatives related to Non-Functional Testing (NFT) and product rollout, collaborating with technology, support, and user teams to design testing strategies and build observability and monitoring capabilities.
  • Manage multiple teams or a functional area.
  • Resolve complex issues and analyze organizational trends for process improvements.
  • Develop standards and ensure adherence throughout the software development lifecycle.
  • Implement methods for estimating costs, efforts, and milestones; promote continuous process improvements.
  • Ensure process consistency and quality; conduct application profiling, performance tuning, and bottleneck analysis.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to deliver performance engineering solutions for critical banking products.
  • Evaluate team performance and make decisions regarding promotions, pay, and terminations.
  • Manage budgets, project estimates, and resource prioritization.
  • Lead people management, mentoring, and career development for a global team.
  • Identify infrastructure capacity needs and handle day-to-day staff issues.
  • Perform other duties as assigned, ensuring compliance and risk management.
Qualifications
  • 15+ years of IT Testing experience.
  • Expertise in performance engineering, observability, resiliency, and testing tools.
  • Ability to identify bottlenecks and optimize applications.
  • Knowledge of software development and testing methodologies, including Agile.
  • Strong communication, persuasion, and influence skills.
  • Experience with tools like Jira, App Dynamics, LoadRunner, Performance Center, and technologies such as OpenShift and Kubernetes.
Education
  • Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s preferred.
