Responsibilities

• Strategize and lead testing of TD Bank's production-like infrastructure with a focus on automation and scale
• Promote and apply best practices for performance testing of scalable and reliable services across engineering
• Be a subject matter expert and partner with our engineering team on performance and scale
• Ensure timely notification and escalation of possible issues and provide options and recommendations
• Participate in root cause analysis for performance incidences and identify bottlenecks to create repeatable processes
• Deep dive using Dynatrace, Splunk, Datadog, etc. to diagnose and resolve performance issues
• Collaborate with development and operations teams to analyze test results and recommend optimization
• Define workload models with Architect and monitor production workloads and performance
• Understand non-functional requirements and architecture to ensure performance coverage across systems
• Improve stability of production environments by partnering with stakeholders to monitor and maintain applications
• Provide technical leadership to improve design and operation of performance/reliability engineering best practices
• Develop relationships with Product Owners, Tech Leads, and Ops to ensure end-to-end accountability
• Be a performance test advocate for tools and frameworks demonstrating quality, scalability, operability
• Contribute to technical vision and architecture with performance in mind
• Communicate across levels and monitor environment performance and resource utilization
• Adhere to enterprise technology delivery practices and standards and manage project-related processes
• Utilize cost management processes within the unit and continuously enhance TD services knowledge
• Proactively identify emerging technologies to build more robust applications
• May perform testing according to test plans and report results
