Lead Pastor of Preaching and Teaching: First Congregational Church of Hamilton

Job Description:

FCCH recently adopted a model of shared pastoral leadership. We are seeking a Lead Pastor of Preaching and Teaching who will join our current Lead Pastor of Care and Outreach and the Board of Elders to form the central leadership of the church.

Within this framework, his or her primary responsibilities will be preaching the Word, organizing corporate worship, overseeing adult education, and managing staff and volunteer leaders.

● A Master of Divinity with a command of Biblical languages or a comparable degree

● At least 5 years of experience in a pastoral role

● Ability to proclaim the Word of God to edify listeners at varying levels of spiritual maturity

● Upholding the FCCH Statement of Faith and our commitments to the CCCC (see the church profile)

● Ability to embrace our shared leadership model
