The successful candidate will be a deeply committed follower of Jesus Christ, living their life as an example of Christian love and compassion.

Overview of Church and Community

Westview is a mid-sized congregation located in southwest London, which is a demographically diverse and growing community. Our worship is Christ centred with a blended music style. We have a heart to meet the needs of our community through our ministries which include a monthly food cupboard, mid-week children and youth programs, small groups, and senior activities.

OUR MISSION

Sharing the gospel of Jesus Christ while building loving relationships.

OUR VISION

To see lives transformed through the love of Jesus Christ.

OUR VALUES

Rooted in the words and love of Jesus found in John 15: 5-17, Matthew 9:12-13, Luke 9: 23-25, Mark 4:30-32, we value…

  • Loving Relationships
We foster a safe environment characterized by a community of trust and compassion. It is our desire that individuals have a deep sense of belonging at Westview.
  • Diversity
We engage with people where they are spiritually, culturally, generationally and emotionally without judgment. We strive to build bridges with others to show God’s unconditional love to all.
  • Connection
Through our spiritual gifts, ideas and experiences, we serve God together in unity, rather than uniformity.
  • Spiritual Growth
We walk alongside one another on our faith journeys, encouraging each other in reading the Bible, prayer, worship, developing our gifts and sharing them in ministry.
  • Outreach
By our words and actions, we reflect the love of God within this church family and beyond. We serve and respond to the needs of the community around us.
Qualifications and Education Requirements

The minimum education requirement is a Bachelor of Theology, with a Master of Divinity and ministry experience preferred. The candidate will have, or be able to obtain, accreditation credentials with the Canadian Baptists of Ontario and Quebec.

The Lead Pastor will preach and teach the word of God to encourage, instruct, equip, and build up the body of Christ. The Lead Pastor will be the primary spiritual overseer of the Church and will serve in collaboration with the Executive Board and Committees.
