Job Summary : We are seeking a skilled and experienced Lead Exterior Painter to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in residential and commercial exterior painting and staining, with proficiency in spray applications. As a Lead Painter, you will be responsible for overseeing and executing high-quality painting and staining projects while ensuring all work is completed on time, within budget, and to the highest standards. You must possess excellent product and industry knowledge, be detail-oriented, and be able to lead a small team of painters effectively.

Key Responsibilities :

• Lead and execute exterior painting projects for both residential and commercial properties.
• Perform spray applications, as well as traditional painting and staining techniques, with a focus on quality and efficiency.
• Ensure all projects are completed in a timely manner, within budget, and in line with safety and industry standards.
• Manage and supervise a small team of painters, ensuring proper workflow, quality control, and safety protocols are adhered to.
• Maintain excellent customer relations, providing exceptional service and clear communication throughout the project.
• Handle surface preparation, including power washing, scraping, sanding, priming, and caulking.
• Maintain an organized work environment and ensure proper care of all tools and equipment.
• Troubleshoot any issues that arise during projects and provide solutions to ensure project success.

Qualifications :

Minimum of 4 years of experience in exterior painting, with a strong focus on spray applications.

Extensive knowledge of painting products, tools, and techniques used in both residential and commercial projects.

Proven experience in leading painting teams.

A valid driver’s license and access to a usable vehicle for travel to job sites.

No criminal record (background check may be conducted).

Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work according to Colour Scheme Professional Painters Standards.

Ability to work in various weather conditions and lift heavy materials.

Excellent communication skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.

Knowledge of safety procedures and the ability to enforce safety standards on the job site.
