Job summary

Miratech is seeking an Operations Research Engineer to join the Workforce Management product stream. You will develop optimization models for workforce planning, forecasting, scheduling and resource allocation in a large-scale contact center, and build a production-grade optimization service that meets latency targets.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of professional experience designing and implementing optimization solutions in production environments.
• Hands-on production experience with OR-Tools (CP-SAT) or comparable solver.
• Strong foundation in linear programming, integer programming, or stochastic optimization.
• Experience modeling and solving workforce or resource scheduling problems.
• Experience with large datasets and solving large-scale optimization; proficiency in Java, Python, or C++.
• Experience translating complex business requirements into mathematical models and optimization objectives.
• Strong software engineering skills for production-ready services and validation frameworks.
• Analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Research, design, and develop optimization models for contact center workforce planning, scheduling and resource allocation.
• Design and implement the schedule optimization engine using OR-Tools/CP-SAT.
• Own the constraint model end to end: formalize business rules into a solvable, maintainable model.
• Build production-grade solver as a service within the WFM platform meeting latency targets.
• Define and validate schedule quality metrics and instrument the service for production monitoring.
• Build tests and validation of optimization algorithms for performance and scalability.
• Collaborate with architects and engineering to integrate models into enterprise engine.
• Partner with stakeholders to ensure generated schedules are usable.
• Communicate findings and results to engineering and business teams.
