Job summary

Bethany Care Society in Calgary is seeking an Occupational Therapist to assess residents, plan and implement interventions, and lead the Occupational Therapy Assistant/Therapy Assistant team. You will work with an interdisciplinary team to support residents’ goals and maintain thorough documentation of plans and progress.

Responsibilities include coordinating with families and external resources, ensuring personalized, compassionate care and adherence to Bethany Care’s standards and policies.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Occupational Therapy or ACOT-equivalent recognized by ACOT.
• Registration with ACOT is required.
• Proven experience conducting comprehensive ADL assessments.
• Ability to collaborate with residents to identify goals and preferences, providing tailored interventions.
• Experience coordinating with families and care teams including AADL and seating clinics.
• Maintaining detailed healthcare records and resident-centered care plans.

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive assessments of activities of daily living in alignment with Bethany Care's policies.
• Provide tailored interventions to enhance quality of life and functional abilities.
• Collaborate with families, acute care teams, and community resources to support residents' goals.
• Maintain detailed documentation and progress in healthcare records.
• Provide leadership and supervision to OT Assistants/Therapy Assistants as applicable.
