What you can expect to do here:

  • Familiar with National, Provincial and Municipal Codes and Standards. Ensures the design documents meet established project criteria and applicable standards. Coordinates the preparation of engineering specifications and drawings
  • Lead a project specific mechanical design team
  • Collaborate and coordinate with other engineering disciplines.
  • Monitor project budgets, control costs, and ensure project success.
  • Identify potential risks and develop mitigation strategies to minimize impact.
  • Maintain strong relationships with clients, providing regular updates and addressing concerns.
  • Ensure all engineering work meets quality standards and codes, while ensuring client expectations are met.
  • Review and approve technical designs, drawings, and specifications.


What you’ll bring to WSP:

  • A Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering with a valid PEO license
  • 15 years’ experience in engineering consulting industry focus on the design of mechanical systems for buildings
  • Strong knowledge of mechanical engineering principles, codes, and standards.
  • Demonstrated experience in managing projects, including timelines, budgets, and deliverables.
  • Desire to participate in client management and business development activities.
