Job summary

VTEK Consultants Inc. is seeking a senior mechanical engineer to lead design activities and ensure compliance with provincial standards. You will sign, approve, and seal complex mechanical designs and coordinate multi-discipline teams on refining, petrochemical, mining, and biofuel projects.

A Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering with 10–15 years of experience and a P.Eng. licence are required. You will mentor junior engineers and contribute to continuous improvement and technical

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering.
• P.Eng. licence in good standing.
• 10–15 years of mechanical engineering experience.
• Proficient in AutoCAD, Revit and SolidWorks.

Responsibilities

• Sign, approve, and seal mechanical designs in line with provincial standards.
• Design complex mechanical systems.
• Oversee EPCM projects for refining, petrochemical, mining and biofuel sectors while tracking budgets, timelines, and quality.
• Prepare and validate drawings, specifications, shop drawings, and mechanical calculations.
• Coordinate teams and ensure deliverables meet project stages.
• Resolve technical issues and propose effective solutions.
• Draft tender documents and analyze contractor submissions.
• Train, mentor, and support junior engineers and technicians.
• Contribute to continuous improvement and technical development within VTEK.

Responsibilities

• Sign, approve, and seal mechanical designs in accordance with the province engineering standards
