Job summary

Trican Well Service Ltd. in Hinton, Alberta, is seeking a Lead Mechanic to oversee the fleet’s maintenance program and supervise the mechanic team.

You will service and repair vehicles, manage maintenance costs, and ensure safe operations aligned with our commitment to safety and excellence. The role requires a Journeyman Heavy-Duty Mechanic with leadership experience, and a valid Class 1 license is preferred.

Qualifications

• Journeyman Heavy-Duty Mechanic certification or equivalent.
• Valid Class 1 license preferred; Class 3 or 5 considered if necessary.
• Minimum 2+ years in a leadership role with fleet maintenance management experience.
• Minimum 4+ years in diesel maintenance and preventive maintenance.

Responsibilities

• Ensure safety is the priority in all activities.
• Provide guidance to apprentices and technicians to improve skills.
• Develop schedules and assign work based on priority and workforce availability.
• Maintain vehicle systems and perform diagnostics, repairs, and servicing.
• Monitor inventory levels and shop conditions for safe operations.
• Maintain records of time, production, and maintenance activities.
